Terms of Use - BioSignal Workstation

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BioSignal Workstation (the "Application"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.

The Application is currently offered as a public beta for educational and research signal exploration. Core exported analysis workflows have been cross-checked against MATLAB and SciPy reference calculations, and file compatibility and usability may continue to improve based on feedback.

2. Research and Educational Use Only

BioSignal Workstation is a research and educational tool only. It is NOT a medical device.

This tool is not intended for the diagnosis, monitoring, treatment, or prevention of any disease or medical condition. All analysis results are for research, testing, or educational purposes only. Never rely on this application for clinical decision-making, emergency use, patient monitoring, or professional medical advice.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the data you open in the Application and for how you interpret exported results. You agree to use the Application only when you have the right to process the relevant data and only in accordance with applicable laws, institutional policies, research protocols, and consent requirements.

Do not submit patient data, protected health information, passwords, or confidential research material through the feedback form.

4. Accuracy and Validation

Signal-processing results can be affected by source data quality, sample rate, filter settings, browser behavior, numerical precision, selected channel, and user configuration. You should independently verify any calculations, charts, reports, or exported CSV files before using them in research, publication, teaching, engineering, or other work.

5. Privacy and Local Processing

BioSignal Workstation is designed so uploaded signal files are processed locally in your browser. Optional analytics, feedback submission, browser storage, and third-party services are described in the Privacy Policy.

6. No Warranty

The Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors, developers, and maintainers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or other damages arising from or related to the Application, exported files, reports, analysis results, or your use of or inability to use the Application.

8. Permitted Use and Intellectual Property

You may use the hosted Application for academic research, education, engineering tests, and personal projects. You may export and share CSV files, plots, and reports generated from data you are permitted to use.

The Application interface, source code, branding, and related materials remain the property of their respective owners. Redistribution, resale, or commercial integration of the core source code requires permission and proper attribution unless a separate written license says otherwise.

9. Changes and Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Application or these Terms of Use at any time. The updated date above shows when this page was last revised. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
